Turkey's People, Culture, Landscape Delightful

We went because: To experience the beauty and history of the Turkish country, its culture and people.

Don't miss: The Basilica Cistern under Istanbul, built in the sixth century. Also, sailing on a gulet along the Mediterranean Coast.

Don't bother: Being worried about traveling to this Muslim country. Everyone we met was friendly and delightful.

Coolest souvenir: Lots of glass "blue eyes" that are believed to ward off evil and bring good luck.
