Evita Musical in Istanbul

Istanbul is welcoming the famous musical Evita in April with the famous lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Evita has given numerous professional tours and worldwide productions, and numerous cast albums have been recorded.

With a new production by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright as directors, David Steadman as musical director, and Bill Deamer as choreographer, Evita will meet Turkish audiences between April 12-24 at the Istanbul Congress Center in the central Harbiye district.

It is expected to be one of the year’s best shows in Istanbul, after receiving more than 20 awards, including an Oscar for the 1996 movie version featuring Madonna and Antonio Banderas. This musical is not a pleasure for audiences only; for the world’s leading actresses, it is one of the most sought after musicals to act in.
