Swedish classical pianist Jablonski to compose for Istanbul

Swedish classical pianist Peter Jablonski will compose a piece for İstanbul, which, along with London, he says is one of his two favorite cities.

Speaking after his appearance with the Cemal Reşit Rey Symphony Orchestra on Monday night at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Harbiye, Jablonski said he might present the piece he is planning to compose at his next onstage appearance in İstanbul.

The internationally acclaimed Jablonski, a concert and recording pianist who has made numerous appearances as both a soloist and recital artist in Turkey throughout the past decade, said he likened İstanbul to London, as both cities have highly multicultural structures. He added that he has traveled to many cities in Turkey but that none of them matched the beauty of İstanbul.
